HERMES 90CM SILK SCARF - MONSIEUR ET MADAME BY BALI BARRET

Bali Barret created more than 20 scarf designs of her own while leading the silk and the women's divisions of Hermes. similar to Tout en Carre, Monsieur et Madame places brand icons into silhouettes. But instead of placing snippets of scarf designs into the silhouettes, we see illustrations of iconic Hermes products inside the man and woman as if in an x-ray: there is the Birkin bag and small leather goods, ties and shoes, a Bolduc twilly and a Tigre Royale carre, and so much more. 

This scarf was originally issued in 2006, later reissued with an animal print background, and recently reissued in a 70cm with multicolored hem. This is from the original 2006 production.

This colorway is a delicious chocolate brown with lighter brown border and winding bolduc. The objects in the silhouettes are shades of golden yellow, and the writing is in white.

This 16-year-old scarf is in excellent condition for its age. The hems are plump, the caretag is attached. I see no holes, pulls or runs.
