140cm Silk
At this time, 140cm is the largest square scarf Hermes creates. Once referred to as the GM (Grand Modele - large size, as opposed to the 90cm PM - petit modele or small size), these shawls come in a variety of fabrics: mousseline, cashmere, and different weights of silk. The 140s are a lot of fabric for a short person. I do struggle with the volume of fabric in a 140cm! I've gotten good at folding and pleating the cashmeres so they are not as overwhelming, but I'm still challenged with the silks - perhaps because they are more reflective or more slippery? Whatever the reason, I only have two 140cm silks. I would happily add more colorways of Tapis Persans but otherwise I may be immune to expanding on this format in my collection.
(If you see AMIM - that stands for "Ask Me, I Might" - I might be willing to part with a silk beauty. Drop me a note if you're interested, and check out that which I've already decided to re-home.)
