HERMES 90CM SILK SCARF - A VOS CRAYONS BY LEIGH COOKE
Leigh P. Cooke began his career as a sign printer before being admitted to Manchester Metropolitan University. The hallmark of his work is realism, using collections of items that are arranged in a manner to highlight each individual object yet capture the fully-composed arrangement. He worked for Ferragamo for several years, and began designing scarves for Hermes in 2001. Deceptively simple, his scarves are known for using the highest number of color screens.
A Vos Crayons was first issued in 2008 in 90cm, and later came out in a 45cm size. This work was inspired by his grade school son. The background is pure white with an orange contrasting hem. Colored pencils are in primary colors, and shavings appears to have be three-dimensional with shadows on the 'surface' of the scarf. Excellent condition. Ships with original Hermes orange box.
