HERMES 90cm SILK SCARF - MYSTERE AU 24
by JONATHAN BURTON
How could I resist that rhinoceros??? So much to smile about in this scarf... the black cat and its adorable paw prints, the dogs playing downstairs, the lounging leopard, the magic mirror, the fox in the fireplace. And who ate the damn apple?!! I adore the colors too, from the blanc matte white ink to the golden tan to the black contrast hem. The greens and blues make me want to tie this together with Animapolis.
From the Hermes Story Behind:
Staged by Jonathan Burton. The camera pans down to film the movie's key scene: upstairs at 24 Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Émile Hermès' office has been taken over by intrepid fauna. "Hello? Hello?" a voice on the phone asks in vain... With this shot inspired by 50s thrillers, the English designer invites us to solve his Mystery at number 24. Zouzou, the rhinoceros imagined by Leïla Menchari for the store's window displays, has seen it all. But will he keep it a secret?
