Liz Stirling
I love the playfulness Liz Stirling brings to her designs. Could it be her Australian roots (I always associate Australia with a certain lighthearted happiness, perhaps because everything in Australia is out to kill you - from the weather to the snakes and crocs to the adorable venomous platypus - so everyone must enjoy each moment as if it's the last)?
She's associated with graphic arts, and her first two scarves took inspiration from stickhorses, and her third scarf features dogs. Stirling's work with Hermes isn't limited to silk: she's created masks for Petit H (which in turn have inspired the poodle's sunglasses in Jour de Casting), beach towels, and the Geegee purse charrm.
