HERMES 90cm SILK SCARF - L'IVRESSE DE L'INFINI
by ZOE PAUWELS
It's pink, it's bright, it's busy - what's there not to love about this scarf? A dear friend coined the term "CCP: colorway correction program" - and this delightful pink beauty is the result of a CCP. My first L'Ivresse *should* have been perfect: steel blue and coral red. But as with so many colors there are, ahem, infinite variations of colors and not all steel blues are created equal. And so that lovely scarf found a lovely new home, and I set about finding the design in a color that agreed with me. Et voila!
Zoe Pauwels, like Dimitri Rybaltchenko, has crafted scarf designs in vastly different styles. She's done animals, musical themes, Victorian era life, native art, and the abstract. I don't have the full Story Behind, but I believe this is a snippet: The madness, the vast incomprehensibility of the universe - a visual representation of the swirling atoms that form the chaos that is the universe.
