HERMES 100cm COTTON / SILK CRINKLED SCARF - LE NOMBRE D'OR

Bali Barret became the Artistic Director of Hermes in 2009, and made her mark on the brand in several ways. She pushed the brand to explore new shapes and techniques, from the circular Clair de Lune to the heart-shaped pocket squares, from the stitched-together carre en carres to the double faced silks.
I'm assuming she was also behind the 'crinkle' scarf: a cotton / silk blend that came pre-wrinkled. I've seen crinkled 140s and this crinkled 100, Le Nombre d'Or. Zoe Pauwels is known for her affinity for music as well as science, and this scarf pays tribute to the Golden Ratio. No, pi is not the golden ratio; the golden ratio is a mathematical equation of infinite fractions, most evident in the Fibonacci sequence which results in spirals.
I was thrilled to learn about these (I love the volume the wrinkles add) and searched for about a year for these (and to my horror some had been ironed). Like Modernisme Tropical I was over the moon when my muse decided to re-home her green and burgundy scarf and she reached out to me! Double delighted to add the blue shortly thereafter.
