HERMES 140cm CASHMERE SHAWL - LA VIE DU GRAN NORD

This chocolate beauty is the first ever cashmere shawl I added to Ye Olde Scarf Drawer, courtesy of a friend in Italy who knew I loved bears. And look at the adorable polar bear! And the Huskies! How could I resist? The more I looked at this design, the more I loved it - whales, reindeer, walrus and fish all join people of the Arctic. Of course I adored this even more after visiting Wapusk National Park and the town of Churchill in Manitoba back in 2018.
Despite my love of the design I haven't found a carre colorway that sings to me. No biggie - the colors in this are such perfection (there must be thousands of shades of brown and I avoid most, but these are sublime; the pops of orange make them just that much more heavenly) that this is firmly in the CDH pile.
