HERMES 90cm SILK SCARF - CHIENS AU RAPPORT
by CARL DE PARCEVEAUX
Well, OF COURSE I had to have this scarf in my collection. It's got a SPANIEL! It's also got dead things which is usually an automatic nope from me, but spaniels trump my aversion to dead things.
This ode to hunting dogs came out in 1987. I adore how lifelike the illustrations are, and I think I've tried every colorway it came in, because... spaniels. But this is the only one I kept. It doesn't tie spectacularly because the border is so wide - good news is that it hides the dead birds, bad news it also hides the dogs. I've parted ways with maybe five other colorways (note: I do have one in the re-home pile; given its age and condition it's quite affordable) because I simply don't have the real estate in YOSD to indulge myself.
And sadly this beauty is so old I can't find the Story Behind. Wah!
